Qingyang Meng

Student

Qingyang is an undergraduate student at Barnard College, majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior. She is interested in neurodiversity among adolescent brains as well as clinical diagnosis of mental illness. In the FAB lab, Qingyang assists in the investigation of the visual processing behind mental illness. Outside the lab, Qingyang is an illustrator for various undergraduate publications. Her love for neuroscience and visual art intersects at the Grey Matters CU, Columbia University’s Undergraduate Neuroscience Journal. Besides traditional media, Qingyang also interned in Sci-Fi cinema productions as a scriptwriter and visual designer. Combining her interests in neuroscience and arts, Qingyang hopes to bridge the general public to science and eliminate prejudice regarding mental well-being in disadvantaged populations. Qingyang is open to all opportunities in scientific illustration.
